We want to welcome you into a world of opportunity that will provide a lifetime of memories. I have fished the Oak Orchard River & Lake Ontario for over two decades. As a result of serving as mate for many of the charter captains prior to obtaining my license, I have an extensive knowledge of the fish, their habits, the lake and the surrounding area.

‘luv2fish’ is a 27’ Baha captained by me, Jim Shambaugh, a licensed Master Captain. The boat is equipped with facilities, all equipment is provided and the boat is fully insured. We want your experience to be fun-filled, however we have a ZERO tolerance for drugs.

In 2005, I was instrumental in the reactivation of the Oak Orchard Business Association. I have served as president since that time, serving 4 terms. I am a Vietnam Vet, belong to various veterans’ organization, as well as a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Darlene, born in Southern Maryland, was a Senior Administrator and then Manager during her career which allowed her to travel to Texas, New York, Florida, as well as in her native Maryland. We were introduced by her parents in late 1992 and married 6 months later in mid-1993. She graciously agreed to the wedding date despite the fact I was in a fishing event on the Lake that weekend. In 1994, we became semi-permanent residents, being in New York 7 months of the year.

It is our goal for you to have an enjoyable experience while fishing/visiting the Oak Orchard, Orleans County region.
